![]() ![]() Thurrott is to Microsoft what Mossberg/Pogue/Chocolate_Boy are to Apple. I'd rather have you quoted in this discussion than Thurrott. That, together with factual errors in the review and his history say that he should not be taken seriously when debating the merits of either OS. Paul Thurrott is supposed to be a journalist. You always take marketing with a pinch of salt because its a message to consumers to garner sales. Exactly where in my post do you get that impression? I said it detracts from journalistic integrity and from that point of view, is embarrassing. ![]() when clearly there are many journalists with better reviews of either OS than him.Īnd I am not "up in arms" over snide remarks. Overall I am impressed with Ars Technica as a technology site.Ĭompletely disagree with your point that "Probably none more so than any other journalists review of Vista or OSX.". That said, John Siracusa's and Peter Bright's reviews are both very good. Incidentally, I find it somewhat amusing that you would be up in arms at Paul Thurrott's snide remarks when this is an Apple trademark (Redmond get your photocopiers ready) I suppose there is a dislike when the boot is on the other foot. ![]() I don't quite know why you "completely disagree" with me, I haven't expressed a concrete opinion on anything, other than suggesting he makes some valid points. ![]()
